Our story.

At the start of 2020, we sat down with a handful of business owners and chefs wanting to learn more about the food service industry and to a greater extent their ordering and delivery processes. We did this because we wanted to validate an idea, a long term vision - most importantly we were eager to receive their critical feedback on a proof of concept we developed. The product we presented was going to change the way businesses order from their suppliers, how they could send orders to new suppliers and they could do all this with minimal key strokes. It was going to be awesome…

What we did come to realise very quickly from the interviews was that whilst our product received fairly good reviews there was still a lot to learn about the real pain points these businesses were facing. Our research results identified a commonality around price sensitivity - our interviewees expressed concerns about the amount of time it takes them to check invoice price fluctuations. Too much time was spent manually filtering through old invoices to check what products changed in price. They simply had little time to find out if they got overcharged.

We wanted to develop a product that would enable them to instantly spot price creeps, essentially see what went up and what went down in price. This would help them keep their costs down, tighten their profit margins and become smarter buyers. So…we created Pricebook™!

The Co-Founders

Meet the team.

Three Melburnians – we share a common interest and desire to solve a problem that is meaningful and disruptive. We experienced at first hand the pain points circling an industry using old school techniques that were erroneous and time restraint. We genuinely want to make a difference – to elevate an industry using cool tech that would make us feel alive and challenged. Most importantly we want to do this to help businesses improve their accuracy and efficiency.

How did we meet? Alan and Alfred met at a Christmas barbecue comparing the size of their apps…Actually they didn’t do that, they discussed ways they could use digital applications to meet the needs of today’s businesses in the FMCG and Food Service industries. Through Alfred’s networking Roman was wooed into joining the vision – he wanted to create something that had purpose and provided real value, not just another camera app.
